A verse by any other name would scan as well: poetry in perspective

There are times when we run out of ideas, or simply come up against the invisible wall of nonexpression other creative types have fought against throughout the ages. When that happens, sometimes it’s a comfort to turn to the words of others for succour and inspiration. So in an effort to get the creative juices flowing, here are some of the ideas other folks have had about just what poetry is and how it works:
